The Dinosaur World has switched up gears, and its full throttle towards a jaw-dropping Jurassic jungle experience is perfect for the whole family plus more. If you thought you had seen it all, that was just the beginning. The Dino World has gone BIGGER! Figuratively and quite literally.
Spread over a 12,000m2 area in a lush green, picturesque park, the exhibition that you have grown to love has evolved into a multi-sectional experience. Each of the sections listed below will have its own entrance ticket. Visitors have the liberty to choose which sections of the exhibition they want to see depending on their preferences and their tickets will be valid for the whole day excluding the rides and activities. More entertainment will be available including music DJs, food stalls, and more.

The outdoor show has facilities that are set up in such a way that each activity has a differently priced ticket, meaning customers can purchase tickets for the specific sections that they want to visit. A full-access ticket, for example, will give the holder access to all the sections of the exhibition except the activities and rides. Special family discount tickets are also available for families of 4, and groups of 8 and 16.

The Dino Expo is a mesmerising not to be missed exhibition of 15 realistic, life-sized, accurate to science, animatronic dinosaurs which capture the imagination with their lifelike demeanor and motions. They will thrust you back into history with their majestic roars that electrify the atmosphere and inspire the adrenaline-filled excitement for all ages.

SECTION II – Jurassic Giants Trail

The highly anticipated, breathtaking, gigantic dinosaurs are here; the biggest dinosaurs ever to be exhibited in South Africa. This new section takes The Dinosaur World exhibition to a whole new level with a towering life-sized, and 13m-long Tyrannosaurus Rex; side by side with the colossal 20m long Australotitan Cooperensis, the biggest dinosaur ever to walk on the Australian continent. Marvel at their 100 million years of domination of life on earth. You get up close and personal with the two; pat them, feel the texture of their skin, walk underneath them (yes, you can walk underneath them) – take selfies too! From the ripples of their skin to the glint in their eyes, you will definitely know, the mighty giants are back.

SECTION III – 30-minute Dinosaur Street Theatre

The interactive 30-minute Dinosaur Street Theatre is another exciting section to look forward to. This is a highly innovated production that features a cutting-edge technology-enhanced baby T-Rex that responds to voice commands. The Dinosaur Street Theatre incorporates up-to-date science and discoveries in a visual way, fusing multiple art forms to spice up the “edutaining” production.
It presents an opportunity to learn about the prehistoric world of dinosaurs in the most exciting way possible. An environmentalist and puppeteers use science, circus, puppetry, and of course; their wild imagination to give you a glimpse into history, an experience that you will never forget.
This unique show is perfect for all age groups and is a great excursion for schools and school holiday groups. During the show some kids will be given the opportunity to come close to some of the puppets and get the privilege to touch.

SECTION IV – Reptile Show

Think creepy or slithering and slimy, the reptile show will feature some of South Africa’s famous reptiles. Experts will explain the features and characteristics of different reptiles which make them unique. They will also delve into the love-hate relationship between man and different reptiles and also give tips on how to co-exist while everting dangers.
This ticket gives you access to the general common area where you have access to jumping castles, picnic area, markets, music DJs for the whole day.

School groups
The JURASSIC GIANTS CAPETOWN will maintain the thrust of our exhibitions, education. We are therefore opening slots for school groups on  Friday 22 Sept and  Friday 29 September 2023 and we are giving limited free tickets to a limited number of public schools. Schools that are interested in accessing the free tickets are encouraged to start applying now.
We also have a special for families and schools with autistic children. They are all encouraged to book their tickets early for Monday 4 September 2023.

Ticketing information

Admission tickets will open for bookings once the venue has been announced. Visitors are advised to book their tickets in advance to avoid last-minute disappointments as the tickets are likely to sale out.
